Understanding Arist Enrollments

Enrollments is a simple concept with complex applications in the Arist Platform. The goal of this article is to clarify the structure of Arist Course and Learner Management so we can arrive at a better understanding of how to approach, create, edit, and manage all Enrollments.

Courses And Schedules:

Courses consist of lessons, questions, and graphics that comprise your curriculum in the Arist Platform. They are created and edited in the Courses Tab.

Schedules are the settings that govern how and when your Course lessons should be delivered. These are created and edited in the Schedules Tab.

I. Learners Enroll In Courses Via Schedules.

When you create a Schedule for your Course, you will be presented with enrollment options. These enrollment options allow your Learners to enroll in your Course via that Schedule. In other words, your learners are electing to receive your course based on the specific delivery settings set in that one Schedule.

Address Values: An address value is any contact information you have for you learner where you can send content. Address Values in Arist are broken down by Address Type. Below is a list with 'Address Type: Address Value'

  • SMS: +1555-555-5555

  • WhatsApp: whatsapp: +1555-555-5555

  • Email: sally@arist-learner.edu

A Learner can only have one active enrollment at at time in a Distribution for the same address value.

Note: This means that I can enroll in Course A via Schedule A with the number 555-555-5555 once, and cannot enroll using that number again until my enrollment is cancelled or completed.

II. One Course Can Have Many Schedules

There are scenarios where Admins may want to deliver the same course content using multiple schedule settings. This is typically done when different groups are taking the same course, or when Admins want to offer more options for delivery to their Learners.

One Arist Course can have an unlimited amount of Schedules governing the delivery of content.

Note: As an Admin testing out your courses or as a single learner taking a live course, you can enroll in the same course via multiple distributions using the same address value.
