Using “Resend” Enrollment Action

Example Use Case Scenario

The primary use cases for the “Resend” Enrollment Action are:

  • to help re-engage a Learner to interact with their Enrollment when they have become inactive (”Active” displays in yellow text)

  • to help clarify for a Learner which step of the Course they are on (in the event it has been interrupted by other communications such as Nudges, Paused Notifications, Response Reminders, etc.)

Step 1: Locate the Enrollment that you’d like to perform Resend with (this will need to be an already-active Enrollment, rather than one in Paused, Error, Canceled, Completed state)

At this stage, the last messages sent to the Learner look like this (A Lesson Body followed by a Question Prompt):

Step 2: Click into Actions > Select “Resend

Step 3: Confirm to Resend:

Step 4: Monitor confirmation response shown in top, right corner after Resend is performed

This image shows a successful Resend message and shows that the Status of the Enrollment has reverted to the green “Active” — Messages will typically send within 15 minutes of performing this action.

Step 5: [possible only from the Learner perspective] See that the last course message was resent to the Learner

Details

  • The “Resend” Enrollment action will only resend the last Course step that was most recently, successfully sent to the Learner.

    • In the example above using Teams, you can see that only the question prompt was resent, and not the entire Lesson.

    • This behavior is the same regardless of Delivery Method, and whether the original Lesson Body and Question Prompt were combined into one message (as with SMS, Email, and WhatsApp Delivery Methods).

  • The Interactions table in the “Manage” view for an Enrollment will only show inbound responses from the Learner — you should not expect to see a new item in this table unless/until the Learner responds to the message that was resent to them

  • You cannot Resend any message in the Course other than the most recently sent, successful Course step (this is a Lesson Body, or a Question Prompt of any kind).

  • If you need assistance understanding exactly:

    • When to use Resend

    • What to expect will Resend in a particular case
