This article covers the information needed for Microsoft Teams Administrators to bulk upload learners to a Teams channel where the course will be delivered.

  • These steps cover how Administrators can bulk upload Learners in the Microsoft Teams channel BEFORE the Arist bot is added/connected to the channel.

    1. BEFORE the Arist bot is added to your Teams channel, you will need to create a CSV sheet with the Learner's email addresses and what role they should have in the Teams Group (i.e., "Member" or "Owner") and then the name of a Teams Group if one has already been created or just the name of the Teams Group you want your Administrator to create and then add the Team users into the specific channel.

    2. Once the sheet has been created with the necessary Learner information, you will need to contact your Microsoft Teams Administrator within your Organization to request them to upload the CSV sheet that you created of your Learners to Bulk Upload the CSV file to the specific Microsoft Teams channel.

    3. Once these Learners are all added to your Microsoft Teams channel, then you can move forward with adding the Arist bot to the channel.

      1. To see how to add/connect the Arist bot to your Microsoft Teams channel, please review the following article covering the step-by-step instructions.

        1. Connecting Arist to Teams:

    4. After the Arist bot has been added/connected to your Microsoft Teams channel, you will wait to see that the Cohort was created with the correct Learners in the Arist application under the Cohorts section; then you're all done.

      Note:
For a quick reference, since you are Bulk Uploading a larger batch (depending on the size), it may take a few hours to sync. If it takes more than a couple of hours or does not show up within 1 day. Please contact Arist support for additional assistance.
