How to Add a Custom Rating Question to your Course
Go to Course Builder and click Create New or choose an existing course to Edit
Create a New Lesson or select an existing lesson to Edit
Click the “+ Add Question” Button
Select Custom Rating Question the pop-up menu
Customize your Prompt and Response to your learners
Note: Your prompt will be followed by the default text: Please reply with a number between 0 and 10.
You do not need to include this verbiage in your custom prompt, and should bear this in mind when wording your custom prompt (see example below).Example:
What the Learner Receives:
Given the explanation of our Company Values as outlined in this course, how would you rate our current implementation of these values in our overall company operations, communications, offerings? A higher number equates to a stronger feeling that our Company Values are tangible in all that we do. Please reply with a number between 0 and 10.

How to Utilize the Feedback from Custom Rating Questions
Pre-requisites: You have created a course with a Custom Rating Question type as shown above. This course has been Published, and Learners have Enrolled in the Course and progressed past the point of the Custom Rating Question.
Navigate to Analytics
In the Course dropdown menu, select any Course(s) which contain Custom Rating Question question type
Click "Export course responses to CSV"
You can now utilize this CSV which includes readily normalized, quantitative data with your favorite data analysis programs to further evaluate responses based on your use case(s).
