The easiest way to test your new course content is by previewing the course. Arist gives course creators the ability to quickly test a courses functionality using our Preview Course feature. This is a great way to see how course content will display on your mobile device and to get a general feel for the course experience.

Previewing A Course

First, go to Courses and either create a new course or edit an existing course you want to test.

Click 'Edit' then click the 'Lessons' icon at the top of the Course Editor page.

When editing your Course in the lessons view, click Preview Course in the navigation bar at the bottom of the page:

A pop-up will appear where you can choose where to send your content. You can choose yourself or someone else in your organization. Delivery Methods use Addresses taken from your Member record in Settings. If you want to send the course to yourself, choose a delivery method, and select the 'Myself' toggle under "Who will receive this course?". Then click "Start" to begin previewing the course:

When adding a new address for yourself, choose the address type from the dropdown menu, add the address value and click "Start" to begin previewing the course:

If you would like to send the course someone else, the steps are simple. Choose the "Someone Else" option, then add an email (this is required to create the enrollment and learner record) and a sending address. Then Click "Start" to begin sending the course preview to someone else on your team:

Taking a Preview Course:

A preview course allows you to move quickly through all your course content without having to take a multi-day course in real-time. The process is simple. When you enroll in a preview course, you will get your first lesson within 15 minutes.

To go to the next lesson immediately when at the end of the current lesson, reply with NEXT. Otherwise, the next lesson will send within 15 minutes of you completing the current lesson.

If you have a Lesson with multiple questions, rather than responding NEXT to move the course along, just answer the questions, and after answering the last question, the system will send the next lesson.

Happy Testing!
