Overview
Update Release Date: June 6, 2025
The Arist Teams app is receiving an important update that introduces multi-course functionality. This enhancement allows your team members to participate in multiple training courses simultaneously without interference between conversations.
What's New
The updated Teams app introduces a dedicated Courses tab alongside the existing Chat functionality. This new interface enables learners to:
Access multiple courses concurrently without conversation threads overlapping
Switch seamlessly between different training programs
Maintain separate progress and discussion threads for each course
Continue existing courses with full message history preserved
Previously, the Teams app supported only single-threaded conversations in the Chat tab, limiting users to one active course at a time.

Important Note for Microsoft Teams Administrators
For Teams Admins: You have the ability to streamline this process significantly for your organization.
When Microsoft Teams Administrators (different from Arist admin users) encounter the permissions dialog, they'll see an additional option: "Consent on behalf of your organization."
We strongly recommend Teams Administrators:
Complete their own update process as soon as possible after June 6th
Select "Consent on behalf of your organization" when prompted
Click "Accept" to approve permissions for the entire tenant
Benefit: When a Teams Administrator provides organizational consent, all other users in your tenant will skip the permissions dialog entirely. They'll still see the update notification and app information, but won't need to individually approve permissions.
Process Variations
Update Notification Timing
The update banner may not appear immediately
Users may need to log out and back into Teams to see the notification
Clicking away from and back to the Arist app can help trigger the banner
Courses Tab Appearance
After clicking "Update now," the Courses tab usually appears within moments
If the tab doesn't appear immediately, clicking away from and back to the Arist app should display it
Some users may land directly on the Courses tab, while others need to click to access it manually
Multiple Update Prompts
Teams may occasionally show the update banner more than once
Users can safely click "Update" again or simply close the banner
Once the Courses tab is visible and accessible, the update is complete
User States After Update
For users with existing course activity:
Complete message history transfers to the appropriate course thread in the Courses tab
All previous progress and conversations remain intact
Users can immediately access their ongoing training
